Cleanup Work Begins at 1601 Mariposa, Demolition to Follow
We’re pleased to report that the first phase of our work on the 1601 Mariposa development has started.
You may have received an official notice in the mail from the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) announcing that on or around June 13, the work required to remove the underground storage tanks began. The initial worklist includes site preparation, locating utilities and fencing. The tank removal is anticipated to be complete by the end of the first week in August. Related expects to continue with demolition and remediation work in accordance with approved plans. We are working closely with DTSC to complete the tasks described in the DTSC Work Notice (which is pasted below). You can read and review the documents providing details about the cleanup on the DTSC website here. To contact DTSC directly for more information, call Tom Lanphar at (510) 540-3776.
Also, we will soon add a new section, titled Project Schedule for other upcoming project dates and activities that may be of interest.
